It will take approximately 5 minutes for the firmware file to download, and an additional 5 minutes until the OK icon is displayed (after the writing icon is displayed) on the rear monitor. Once the OK icon is displayed on the camera’s rear monitor, it is safe to disconnect.

Do not disconnect the USB cable during the update.

It can take up to 12 minutes to update the firmware on the E-M1X, including downloading and writing the firmware data to the camera.
